The library is thrilled to have author Deborah Tainsh returnto facilitate her “Flash Writing Your Memoir” class here at the Pass ChristianLibrary.  Her next series will begin at2pm on Wednesday, March 5^th and continues weekly through April 30th.  The purpose of the workshop is to inspire andassist those attending the class to write stories for family posterity throughflash, micro and creative nonfiction writing to tell true life or fictionalstories.  Ideally, participants willattend as many sessions as possible, but perfect attendance is not required.

Deborah Tainsh is the author of thenovel Love’s Return;  the memoir Heartof a Hawk:  One Family’s Sacrifice andJourney Toward Healing; and essays published the Chicken Soup for theSoul publications and Folded Flag: Families of War Share Stories of Coping, Courage and Faith.  Ms.Tainshhas facilitated numerous creative and memoir writing workshops for librariesand Barnes and Noble stores in Georgia and Florida.

The Visiting Pet Teams of South Mississippi are bringing back their popular Sit, Stay, READ! Children’s Reading Program to the Pass Christian Public Library. This program offers a fun way to enhance your child's reading skills with the help of friendly and lovable reading pet partners. It's a great opportunity for your child to improve their reading skills while having a great time. Join us for the upcoming sessions on March 15, April 19, and May 17, 2025, from 10 am to noon at the Pass Christian Public Library.

Reading sessions usually last for 30 minutes.  Children are rewarded with bookmarks, stickers, or pencils for participating. The program is free.  Children must not be afraid of or allergic to animals.  There is no need to re-register.
