Their artwork, titled "Make Art, Not Landfills: The Wild andCurious Assemblages of Mellott and Walrod," will be on display in theconference room of the library from February 6 to April 6, 2026, during regularlibrary hours.
An Artist’s Reception will be held on Thursday,February 19, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM, providing the community with an opportunityto meet these talented artists. We invite you to visit them and explore theirunique assemblage art, all made from salvaged objects.

Register now for the Youth “Mississippi Saxophone” 3 Day Workshop, A BluesHarmonica Class with Musician “Bayou” Shannon Williford. Thisworkshop is designed for students in 5th to 8th grade. It will take place atPass Christian Public Library on April 6, April 8, and April 10, 2026, from 2to 4 pm. The timing coincides with mostSpring school breaks.
During the workshop,students will learn about the Mississippi Delta Blues and how to play theharmonica. The workshop will conclude with a concert where students willshowcase their newly acquired skills. Each participant will also receive aharmonica and a songbook.

Announcingthe start of the 2026 season of the Sit, Stay, READ! Children’s Reading Programat Pass Christian Library on the third Saturday of the month. We invite all children to read to thedogs! It is a great way to improve yourchild’s reading skills in a fun and exciting way. The therapy dogs and their pet partners loveto have the children read or even look at books with them. This program is a family event.
Joinus for the upcoming sessions on February 21, March 21, April 18, and May 16,2026, at the Pass Christian Library, located at 111 Hiern Ave, Pass Christian,MS. Feel free to drop in anytime between 10 AM and noon.
TheVisiting Pet Teams of South Mississippi sponsor the program. Reading sessions usually last for 30minutes. Children are rewarded withcoupons, bookmarks, stickers, or pencils for participating. Science Café on the Coast will host a presentation “Ahead of the Buzz: Bee-coming Swarm Savvy” on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 am at Margaret Sherry Public Library. Join Amy Dupree, a local beekeeper, as she explains why bees swarm, how to safely respond if you encounter one, and how professionals carefully remove and relocate the bees. You’ll also learn what happens to the swarm after it’s collected and why these remarkable pollinators are so important to our ecosystem.
This event offers those with minimal background in science the chance to meet and discuss scientific issues in a relaxed social setting.
Admission is free and open to the public, with light refreshments available.
